School Development Plan
Every year, the Headteacher and other members of the SLT, middle leaders, staff and governors reflect on the successes and areas for development in all aspects of the school. The result of that self-evaluation is the SDP (School Development Plan). This is a vital document to drive forward school improvement and enables leaders to put on paper the priorities for the academic year.
Please see below our SDP for 2023-24. This is a live document which is updated on a regular basis as the year progresses. The four main headings are: Quality of Education, Behaviour and Attitudes, Personal Development and Leadership and Management.
Connaught Junior School is an innovative school that is always focussed on school improvement and giving our children the very best opportunities. Our mantra 'Improve Every Day' puts the focus squarely on children's progress in not only academic subjects, but also behaviour, health and wellbeing, effort, attitudes to learning and being the best versions of themselves. Adults in school also strive to improve every day.
All of this ties in with our core values of being Caring, Confident and Committed, our Vision of a Connaught Child, our Mountain theme and our 6 Curriculum Drivers.
